Mobile Field Reporting (MFR) should be flexible and dynamic to meet the ever changing and expanding demands of today’s agencies.  FormStream™ MFR Software puts the power into the agency’s hands with increased control over reports, in a true mobile and system independent environment.

Create and Manage Customized, Intelligent Reports

FormStream gives agencies the utmost control and power over individual reports while remaining easy-to-use and affordable.  An intuitive forms development tool allows an agency to create, edit and manage and unlimited number of reports.  Using templates and tools, agencies can create field dependencies (NIBRS rules) and user choices such as user prompts, drop-down lists, code tables and bubble tips.  Codes and tables are kept up-to-date through FormStream’s unique data synchronization capability.

Report Flexibility and Integrity

For the agent or field officer, FormStream presents an electronic version of the paper report they are accustomed to using resulting in increased officer adoption rates and minimized training times and expenses.  Dynamic forms support the unlimited addition of sections (vehicles, witness, suspects, etc.) or pages (tow slip, citation, etc.) as needed per incident or event.  Officers can therefore spontaneously assemble various report types into an electronic case folder keeping all related data in one place.  FormStream’s in-house flexibility in the office and in the field delivers significant savings to an agency of any size and keeps reports current with state and industry requirements.

Integrity is maintained with a tamper resistant seal and data encryption.  With these steps, in addition to the report format, reports remain non-refutable legal documents.

Integration and Standards-Based Infrastructure

FormStream is based upon industry standards Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) and National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).  By following accepted and used standards, FormStream is compatible with all major Record Management Systems (RMS) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.  This compatibility provides freedom to implement FormStream at any time:

• Agencies without a Computer Aided Dispatch and/or Record Management System.  FormStream can deliver increased accuracy and efficiencies to the data collection and report process.  Computer Aided Dispatch and Record Management System not required.
• Existing Computer Aided Dispatch and/or Record Management System system.  FormStream integrates with existing systems.  Agencies do not need to displace existing back-end systems to enjoy the benefits of FormStream.
• Overall system reengineering.  FormStream can provide best in class mobile field reporting capabilities within an integrated solution.

Robust, Mobile Client

A true mobile environment, FormStream does not rely on continuous network connectivity or web access for successful operation.  Featuring a “store and forward” thin client, FormStream allows officers to work on the report even when a data network is not available.  Once a network is available, completed reports will automatically be forwarded to the next step in their route. 

Report Processing

Completed reports can be delivered and received via the mobile client.  Once received, reports can be approved or rejected and sent back to the originating officer for modification; comments regarding the rejection are carried with the report until final approval.  Reports can additionally be re-routed or reassigned.  Mobile report processing allows reports and data to become actionable more quickly.

• Import of Data and Auto-Population
  Data can be collected from any third-party data sources: magnetic card swipes or bar code readers of driver’s licenses, mobile dispatch data, mobile queries, NCIC or state queries, digital pen and many others.  Officers can automatically collect and insert selected data sets into pre-configured fields within the report thus completely eliminating time consuming data entry.
• Export of Field Report Data to Third-Party Systems

Beyond Traditional Field Reports
