Sales – Sales Engineer

SpireLine Systems is looking for a top performing Sales Engineer interested in providing services to our sales organization that will result in new or additional revenue generation in our Public Safety and Commercial markets.  The Sales Engineer will work with sales to design, configure and present custom product demonstrations and assist in responding to Requests for Proposals.  In addition, the Sales Engineer will interface with Client Services Technical Consultants for development based sales needs.  Finally, the Sales Engineer will interface with the Product Management team to document requested product enhancements coming from the Pre-Sales marketplace.  If you are a self starter, and are looking for a dynamic environment with interesting work, then we are the company for you.

Primary Responsibilities:  This individual will primarily work with SpireLine sales representatives to win new accounts.  In addition, the Sales Engineer will do client trainings, manage sales response documents, understand competitive offerings, attend trade shows, be a liaison to Product Management for new features, and design electronic forms for custom demonstrations. 

Job Duties

• Add/Change Sales Demo; configure and demonstrate solution presentations as needed.
  Perform System Administration and Forms Design trainings to clients
• Maintenance and Enhancements of Sales demo hardware and software
• Perform high level needs analysis in pre-sales cycle and identify possible red flags.
• Create Technical Responses to RFPs and source answers if custom development is required. 
  Create and maintain RFP library for document re-use and project requirements tracking.
  Understand competitors’ product offerings and technology in order to leverage SpireLine’s product strengths.
• Be familiar with industry technology and business trends, and organizations that directly affect SpireLine’s product offerings.
• Provide scoping of technical services for Pre-Sales situations.

Jr Java and/or C# Software Engineer

Join an exciting small company in Boulder creating the next generation of public safety software. The junior software engineer will help maintain the existing products while expanding their skill set working on the next generation of products.

Requirements:

• A quick learner with a strong desire to enhance their skill sets.
• Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.
• Support the existing product, working with various stakeholders to determine the priority of issues.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Desired Technical Skills

• Java, J2EE, JDBC
• C# / .net
• HTML and JavaScript
• XML manipulation in both Java and C#
• SQL skills on multiple databases including stored procedures
• Cross platform development

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in C.S. or other relevant degree or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years in software engineering

This position will report to the Director of Engineering.
